Galena - A

Galena is lead sulfide mineral and is the most important ore of lead & an important source of silver. In its fullest growth from it crystallizes in the cubic crystal system often showing octahedral forms.  Energetically, it is thought to act as a guiding light for inner and spiritual work. Some view it as a shaman in mineral form. With its super heavy weight for it's size, it is very grounding and said to help you align with mother earth energy. 

This Galena specimen is from Morocco. It weighs 1lb 4.4 oz and measures about 3.5 x 3.5 x 2 inches . This is a very high quality mineral with shine and crystal formations. 

Please note that while galena is safe to handle it does have lead content, do not grind up, scratch or get this mineral wet. After handling it is best practice to wash your hands and supervise young children who may like to put things in their mouth.
